I think the Gods and Goddesses can sometimes reach us very powerfully in that liminal stage between being awake and asleep.OrderInTheQuartzhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03643565718939770188noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2504227551679989503.post-72624386168641646332017-09-08T11:55:57.398-04:002017-09-08T11:55:57.398-04:00Your description of His presence is unmistakably s...Your description of His presence is unmistakably similar to my first experience. Before I really knew I was Asatru, Odin (accompanied by Thor, as that whole 'family' is who I'm anchored to, particularly Thor) appeared to me when I awoke from a dream, and I was stuck in a sleep paralysis. Above me was Odin, and He was in the form of a swirling vortex that had appeared in my dreams before as a young child. I looked at the storm, not directly into the vortex, and it was this immense feeling of the old usage of 'awe'. A terrifying yet beautiful and tremendous power that seemed limitless filled the room and my body, and it felt as if electricity was being rained down upon me. The sparks of this physically hurt, but it wasn't torturous, it was as you described, to be a painful passion. At this point I was feeling an immense pressure on my left lower leg, and as I looked at the end of my bed, I didn't see it with my eyes, but I knew what was there, crystal clear. A tall being who held a sword in front of them, as if they leaned upon it, with a long cape and what I would consider to look like Viking war armor. Upon the being's head was an armor helmet with two very powerful wings jutting off the sides at where the ears would be. I woke out of my paralysis terrified, but not in the scared sense, in the sense that I was in Awe.Elizabethnoreply@blogger.com
